COVID-19 & HOSTING EVENTS
The Vox Theatre Event Space is committed to the health and safety of our guests, vendors, and staff. Our existing cleaning and sanitization practices derive from industry best practices, though we have taken a proactive approach to the new "normal" for event production.
Prior to events
The Vox staff will spray all furniture and space surfaces with a CDC-approved sanitizing spray before people arrive for setup time, and again after vendor setup and before guests arrive for the event. We will stagger all vendor load-in times to limit the number of people in the space at a given time.
Vox parking attendants have adapted their parking plan to allow guests a staggered entrance and exit to their vehicles with physical distancing in mind. For smaller events, Vox parking attendants may “kill” spaces between vehicles to provide space.
Upon guest arrival, the Vox team will use the event RSVP list (provided by event hosts) to check in guests as they arrive. Someone not on the RSVP list attempting to enter the space will be asked to provide their full name and contact information for contract tracing purposes. Should a guest arrive for the event exhibiting flu-like symptoms, they will be told they cannot enter the space. Guests attending a private event at the Vox Theatre are not mandated to wear a protective mask, though it is highly encouraged. Event hosts are required to have protective masks available at the front entrance of the space, and to provide one to a guest upon request.
During the event
We will have dedicated hand sanitizer stations by the front entrance, any food and beverage stations, near the restrooms, and by the patio door. Every 30 minutes, our team will wipe down high-touch surfaces (see “Sanitizing the Venue” section) with sanitizing wipes/sprays. Our staff and any vendors in the space will be expected to wear a mask throughout events. Sanitizing wipes will be available in restrooms for guests to sanitize toilet handles, lids, door handles, etc.
We have eliminated choke points near then entrances and exits of our space; our main bar area is reconfigured to allow guests 6 feet of space from the service team. Bar service may include protective plexiglass guards. Dinner service might include a served buffet, rather than self-serve, and food stations may include protective plexiglass guards. These details will be confirmed with the vendors for each event. The Vox staff will seek to prevent a queue from forming near the restrooms.
We will operate our air purifying system during events, which does not disturb the guest experience or interrupt the event. Our 20ft ceilings along equipped with our industrial fan will circulate the cleansed air around the room. Guests can also enjoy our outdoor private patio space during events.
We encourage guests handle only their designated event chair for the duration of the event. And of course, we encourage guests to maintain proper hygiene throughout the event, including coughing/sneezing into an elbow and proper hand washing technique.
Should a guest demonstrate flu-like symptoms during the event, the Vox team will provide the person with a protective mask and isolate them from other guests. If it is suitable for the guest to drive, they will be asked to head home.
After Events
We partner with Stratus Cleaning Solutions to keep the Vox Theatre space clean and sanitized according to CDC recommendations. The Stratus team deeply cleans and sanitizes all furniture and event rooms/spaces after an event using eco-friendly, CDC recommended products. The Vox Theatre team also uses an ozone machine after events to eliminate bacteria and virus particles in the air.
SANITIZING THE VENUE
