The Ceremony 

The Vox Theatre can easily host your ceremony in our over 3,700 square feet of main event space. Ceremony seating options include Oscar style seating or having all guests seated for the ceremony. Our private outdoor garden space allows guests fresh air during cocktail hour (yes, please!) while our team swiftly and seamlessly transforms the room for reception. 

Your ceremony is elevated for guests (and photographers!) by our raised stage and backdropped by original exposed brick with romantic string cafe lights.

The Reception 

After your ceremony ends, take advantage of our outdoor garden space for a cocktail hour, or head to the main bar for a refreshing beverage. The couple can retreat to one of our private preparation suites or hideout in our upstairs loft to catch their breaths (and sneak some food!) before their reception entrance.

WEDDING & RECEPTION FAQ

​​How do I reserve my date at the Vox? 
To reserve your date on our event calendar, we require a $1,500 non- refundable retainer paid in cash, check or credit card (a processing fee is added for card transactions). Full venue rental payment is due 60 days prior to your wedding date, though we encourage and create payment plans for additional payments leading up to the 60 day mark. 

what is the vox policy on outside vendors?
 The Vox Theatre Event Space is an open vendor space freeing you to work with your favorite caterers, DJs, and bartending teams! Check out our preferred vendor list if you want to start your search there. All vendors must provide event liability insurance prior to their event; these policies can be purchased by the event host if/when vendors that cannot provide event liability insurance. 
CAn we bring in our own alcohol? 
You sure can! We require all party people to have a licensed and insured bartender, but you can source your alcohol from wherever or whomever you please. 
How much time do we have for our event? For setup? 
You have 6 hours of event time on Friday & Saturday weddings, and 5 hours of event time for weekday and Sunday weddings. There is no fee for having your ceremony at the Vox space. 3 hours of setup up time is allotted for each event. You can purchase extra setup time ($125 | hour) or event time ($350 | hour) if needed & paid for prior to event date.

are there any venue restrictions? 
The Vox Theatre does not allow loose glitter/confetti/scatter/sand/etc., and look to avoid glitter on decor as much as possible. No tape or command strips permitted on our 100 year old walls. Open flame is not allowed; flames must be covered be contained by votives. Balloons much be properly fastened/anchored, lest they float into our Big Ass Fan (that's the name of the brand, check it out!) No shots or neat pours are permitted. 
How does the transition between our ceremony & reception work? 
Depending on your ceremony floor plan, it takes anywhere between 15 and 40 minutes for the Vox event staff to transition the room from ceremony setup to reception. The Vox team handles all furniture setup, room flip, and break down after your wedding. We offer a "free flip for forty" that has proved to be a popular option!
Can My Vendors Leave equipment overnight? can we leave our food and decorations?
One hour of clean up is available in all venue rentals. All vendors have that hour to remove their materials out of the space that night, unless they have made a prior arrangement with the Vox team. You must remove all food, beverages, decor, and belongings from the space that night. Unless you prefer to have Vox Staff clean up and organize for you through our overnight storage service. This is arranged/paid for prior to your event. 
What other costs can I expect when using this space?
We require all vendors to provide an event liability insurance policy, with the Vox Theatre listed as an additional insured, for the duration of each event. Should your caterer/bartender/DJ not have a COI, event hosts can get a policy through the Vox Theatre starting at $120, or check with other insurance companies. For all events with over 220 guests a third officer is required; depending on the event hours this typically costs around $315 total (rate of $45/hr). Linens are not included and are considered a rental item. We have black, white, navy crinkle, and a golden crinkle in house and can help you source any specialty color that you prefer! Costs vary as each layout is different. You are permitted to provide your own linens, but please note that we require for all of our tables to be covered.
