Introducing Carolyn, the visionary owner of The Vox Theatre Event Space in Kansas City. With a background in Interior Design and over two decades of experience, Carolyn founded her boutique lighting and event production company, Innovative Lighting & Design, in 2006.

Throughout her career, Carolyn has honed her expertise in crafting extraordinary events. From weddings and galas to corporate functions and social gatherings, she has orchestrated countless memorable experiences. Her keen eye for detail, creative flair, and dedication to excellence have earned her a reputation for delivering unparalleled events that exceed expectations.

In 2018, Carolyn's passion for historic venues led her to acquire The Vox Theatre, recognizing its potential to become a premier event space. Now, as the proud owner, Carolyn brings her wealth of experience and innovative approach to curating unforgettable events in this iconic venue.

Introducing Haley Broockerd, the dedicated Event Manager at the Vox Theatre, she is passionate about creating memorable experiences. Haley is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in management as she cultivated her skills in hospitality and event management.

Haley's journey in the events industry includes hands-on experience with a few premier KC wedding planners, working day-of coordination and behind the scenes design to ensure the couples vision comes to life. In addition, she has worked for the esteemed Hotel Kansas City, where she gained invaluable insights in many different roles, coordinating a diverse range of functions and serving clients to the best of her abilities.

With a strong ability to manage logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships all while honing in on her attention to detail, Haley ensures that every event here at the Vox Theatre runs smoothly and successfully.
